Nestle Waters North America Inc. in Stamford has agreed to buy a Texas soft drink maker.
Terms were not disclosed.
Sweet Leaf Tea Co.’s Sweet Leaf brewed teas and Tradewinds lemonades and tropical fruit juice drinks had combined sales of more than $53 million in 2010.
Nestle Waters said it made an unspecified initial investment in Sweet Leaf in March 2009. Sweet Leaf, founded in 1998, is based in Austin, Texas, where staff there will continue to manage the brands, Nestle said.
