CT’s min. wage set to hit $13 Aug. 1

Many low-wage workers have been able to see a pay bump in recent months as employers in myriad industries face a workforce shortage.

On Sunday, Connecticut residents making the minimum wage will be guaranteed a raise.

The state’s current $12-per-hour minimum wage is set to increase to $13 Aug. 1. The bump is part of the state’s gradual plan passed in 2019 that will boost the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2023..

The next minimum wage increase is scheduled for July 2022.
