Lindley Food Service, a New Haven preparer of hot and cold meals for seniors and schoolkids, has been acquired by a Charlotte, N.C., institutional food caterer.
TrustHouse Services Group paid an undisclosed sum for Lindley, authorities said Tuesday.
Lindley generated some $20 million annually delivering prepared meals to municipal and nonprofit customers involved in education and healthcare, TrustHouse Chairman and CEO Michael J. Bailey said.
Founders Gil Rossomando and Mark Cerreta will continue to manage Lindley as a stand-alone business within TrustHouse. They also will have equity in TrustHouse, Bailey said.
The combined company will be among the top 10 U.S. institutional food preparers serving the education, healthcare and corrections markets.
TrustHouse is a portfolio company of San Francisco’s Gryphon Investors.
Last July, TrustHouse merged with A’viands Food and Management Services, of Roseville, Minn.
