Farmington specialty financier Horizon Technology Finance Corp. has bet $7 million on a Texas company’s technology for converting sunlight into usable electricity.
SolarBridge Technologies Inc., of Austin, Texas, make microinverters that convert direct current electricity from a solar cell into alternating current, the type that powers most household appliances and commercial machinery.
SolarBridge CEO Ron Van Dell said Horizon’s financing enables his company to pursue new markets for its technology as well as develop new products.
