CT’s first cannabis business licensing lottery is complete

The first round of the state’s adult-use cannabis business licensing lottery is done, the state announced Friday, meaning that all 56 companies selected have been notified they can move on toward provisional licensing.

The state Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) announced the names of a few more social equity and general lottery winners Friday, so all the license winners are now known. Adult-use recreational sales in Connecticut are scheduled to begin Jan. 10.

The recently named social equity business winners are:

  • Hybrid retailer Chillax LLC, which names New Jersey resident Niralee Modi as principal.
  • Hybrid retailer Divine 1 LLC, which names Pennsylvania resident Dharini Patel as principal.
