CT’s ‘Find Your Vibe’ tourism campaign continues into the winter

The state’s “Find Your Vibe” tourism campaign is continuing through the winter as state officials hope to highlight Connecticut’s attractions and activities during the colder months.

Gov. Ned Lamont announced Tuesday morning that the campaign will showcase the winter-centric activities visitors can experience during the next few months. Find Your Vibe was launched by Noelle Stevenson, who took over as the director of the Connecticut Office of Tourism earlier this year.

Between tree lightings, ski resorts and outside dining and drinking, Noelle said Connecticut has a lot to offer in the winter months. The winter campaign includes new television ads in addition to new displays at Grand Central Station in New York City and other targeted small-screen advertisements.

Some of Connecticut’s outdoor winter events include:

  • The 12th annual Winterfest at Hartford’s Bushnell Park from Nov. 25 to Jan. 8
  • The Jumpfest Ski Jumping Competition in Salisbury in February
  • The Fire and Ice Valentine Ice Sculpture Competition in Putnam in February

Lamont’s office released some statistics from the first summer season of Find Your Vibe from June to Sept. 5, including:

  • 205 million paid media impressions, an increase of 80%
  • 1.5 billion public relations impressions
  • Out-of-state website visits up 94%
  • Number of rooms sold is more than 7 million, an increase of 9.2%
  • Short-term rentals, including Airbnb’s, amount to 462,000 overnight stays, an increase of 8%
  • Total lodging revenue of $1.1 billion – an increase of 11%
