Hartford’s Express Kitchens bought former West Springfield wholesaler Valley Sales Appliance Distributors, enabling Express to bill itself as a turnkey kitchen designer-installer.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed Wednesday.
In conjunction, Express Kitchens said it will open in late January its seventh design showroom at 92 Memorial Ave. in West Springfield, space to be shared with what is now New Valley Sales and that will showcase inventory and services for both operations.
Express Kitchens says its 55,000-square-foot Hartford showroom-warehouse at 3080 Main St. is being prepped to accommodate appliance brands on top of cabinetry, counter tops and flooring sold to builders, contractors, apartment owners, kitchen designers and their clients.
Family-owned Express Kitchens opened in 2002 and has more than 45 employees and five other showrooms in Newington, Orange, Hamden, Waterbury and Brookfield.
