Wallingford franchisor Edible Arrangements has opened its second Berry Direct U.S. distribution outlet in North Haven to speed wholesale delivery of fresh fruit and other products to Edible’s Midwest and East Coast franchisees, officials say.
The facility at 33 Stiles Lane is in the midst of hiring a small but unspecified number of workers, an Edible spokesman said.
Edible’s first Berry Direct facility opened in 2008 in Lake Elsinore, Calif., and last year expanded into its current, larger location in Riverside, Calif.
The North Haven location’s inventory will be limited until a full product ramp-up occurs within three to four months, officials said.
