Wallingford’s Edible Arrangements celebrated the opening of its first franchise in China to sell its hand-sculpted, fresh-fruit arrangements.
The Beijing outlet is in the city’s new Galleria Shopping Center, Shuguang Xili Jia 5#, Chaoyang District. Â
It is owned by Edible’s China master franchisees Jianyi “Jack” Wang and Zhigang Liu, who plan 39 more stores over the next five years, the franchisor said Thursday. A second Beijing location is set to open early next year.
Edible founder-CEO Tariq Farid attended the Dec. 8 grand opening.

Since its founding 12 years ago, Edible has 1,098 locations in 15 countries.
