CT’s economic health ranking improves

Connecticut’s economic health relative to the rest of the country improved in January, according to Lumesis, a Stamford firm that issues proprietary rankings.

The state’s so-called Diver Geo Score, a 10-point system based primarily on employment, income and housing measures, rose from 2.2 in December to 6.8 in January. That bumped the state up to 17th place from 39th place.

In January of last year, the state’s score was 7.2, good enough for 14th place.

North Dakota topped the January ranking with a perfect score, while Mississippi took last place with a score of zero.
