CT’s Duchess chain customizes Coke drinks

Duchess Restaurants is debuting a new Coca-Cola machine at its Ansonia fast food location that lets users make their own soft drinks.

As part of the restaurant chain’s 55th anniversary celebration, Duchess is installing a the first Connecticut restaurant Coca-Cola Freestyle machine in April.

The so-called Fountain of the Future technology lets users pick from 106 different drink flavors offered by the various Coca-Cola brands, many of which weren’t previously available in the United States.

Customers can also mix and match different flavors to create their own drink.

The restaurant will host Coca-Cola Freestyle Fantasy Day on April 9 to let customers use the new technology.

The Duchess Ansonia is the second location and first restaurant in Connecticut to get the machine. The Mohegan Sun resort casino also has one in its gas station convenience store.

The Milford-based Duchess Restaurants has 15 locations across Connecticut. The 55th anniversary celebration also includes a remodel of the interior décor.
