There were 419 permits issued for new construction of single- and multi-family dwellings across Connecticut in December, pushing the 2015 total to 5,322 units, the state says.
The state Department of Economic and Community Development released Friday the final building-permit survey of 104 cities and towns statewide by the U.S. Census Bureau.
The December survey found that, as with nearly every month in 2015, new housing with two or more living units dominated permit filings.
Due to the bureau’s change last year in the number of communities surveyed, previous monthly and full-year comparisons are unavailable.
