Hartford’s Amenta/Emma Architects has signed on to design the interior space in the proposed new global headquarters for New York water-technology vendor Xylem Inc.
The 66,000-square-foot structure will occupy a yet-to-be-determined U.S. locale, authorities said Wednesday. Its headquarters is currently White Plains, N.Y.
Xylem, a 2011 spinoff of ITT Corp. with operations in more than 150 countries, said it will seek LEED Gold certification for the building.
Amenta/Emma says it is providing interior design, furniture and other services to the project for an unspecified fee.
Amenta/Emma also has offices in Stamford, which leads the Xylem project, and Cambridge, Mass.
