CT’s 2 Morton’s open despite closings elsewhere

Connecticut’s two Morton’s The Steakhouses in downtown Hartford and Stamford remain open despite the new owner’s closing of a handful of locations nationwide, including one of two in Boston.

The two Connecticut locations “remain open for business as usual,” Hailey Polzin, spokewoman for Houston dining operator Landry’s Inc., said in an email Thursday.

The Hartford location is in 30 State House Square; the Stamford restaurant is at 377 N. State St.

The Boston Globe reports that Morton’s closed its Boston Back Bay location Wednesday, the same day that Texas restaurateur Tillman J. Fertitta took acquired Morton’s parent for $116.6 million.
