Connecticut’s $570 million busway, CTfastrak, will begin service March 28, the state Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.
DOT is holding open house events over the next two months to acclimate the public to the schedules and routes of the 9.4-mile dedicated bus lane from New Britain to Hartford.
The route, funded by federal and state dollars, has been under construction since 2012. Construction of ten bus stations in Hartford, West Hartford, Newington and New Britain is nearly complete.
