Alexion Pharmaceuticals in Cheshire, Edac Technologies in Farmington and TicketNetwork in Vernon are among Connecticut’s 40 fastest growing tech companies identified by the Connecticut Technology Council and Marcum LLP.
Winners are grouped into six tech areas: Software, IT services, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, new media/Internet/telecom, and energy/ environmental technologies.
Winners were chosen on the basis of revenue growth over the last four years. Companies considered for this recognition have at least $3 million in revenue, with some of exceeding $1 billion.
The 2011 winners are primarily privately held companies, but 12 public companies also made the list, including: Priceline.com, FuelCell Energy and FactSet Research. Geographically, Fairfield and New Haven Counties led with 15 companies each followed by Hartford County with seven companies.
CTC and Marcum will honor the winning companies Sept. 27 at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford.
