The Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame has appointed Kimberly Kersey as its new executive director, effective July 6.
Kersey most recently served as executive director of the Artists Collective in Hartford. She previously led the Amistad Center for Art & Culture at the Wadsworth Atheneum. Her background includes nonprofit leadership, fundraising, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and museum management.
The nonprofit organization said Kersey was selected following a national search. She succeeds interim Executive Director Susan Dunn, who led the Hall during the transition. Previously, Raina Giddings was executive director from Feb. 2024 to Feb. 2025, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Founded in 1994, the New Haven-based Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of Connecticut women, preserves their stories and promotes educational programs highlighting their contributions.
According to its latest 990 tax filing, the Women’s Hall of Fame posted $243,555 in revenue in fiscal 2025 and a deficit of $50,962.
