A Pennsylvania-based wind developer that was selected last year to supply renewable energy to Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island has been sold, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
EverPower Wind was acquired by a fund managed by asset manager BlackRock for an undisclosed price, the Post-Gazette said.
EverPower bid its 126-megawatt Cassadaga Wind project, located in western New York, into a competitive three-state renewable energy RFP.
It was one of two wind projects that were ultimately selected to negotiate contracts with utilities in the three states. The rest were solar. In all, the states selected 460 megawatts worth of projects.
