Seven Connecticut wealth advisors made Forbes magazine’s list of the top 200 wealth managers in the country, with Greenwich’s Jeff Erdmann of Merrill Lynch earning the No. 1 spot.
Three Central Massachusetts wealth advisors also made the list.
Erdmann’s office has $5.5 billion in managed assets, according to the list.
Other Connecticut managers who earned spots on the list included: William Greco, No. 37, of Hartford’s USB Financial Services, with $4.7 billion in assets; Brian Hetherington, No. 56, of Merrill Lynch in New Canaan, $2.2 billion; and Ron Weiner, No. 78, of RDM Financial Group in Westport, $722 million.
Also: Bryan Stepanian, No. 85, Deutsche Bank Securities in Greenwich, $3.78 billion; Harold Trischman, No.136, Deutsche Bank Securities in Greenwich, $3.7 billion; and Tom Vacheron, No. 150, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Fairfield, $1.2 billion.
The inaugural ranking is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data, rating wealth advisors with a minimum of seven years of experience and weighing factors such as revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience, and best practices that were gathered through telephone and in-person interviews, according to Forbes.
The list will be published in the Aug. 23 issue of Forbes magazine.
