CT wages rise 4.1% in 3Q

Connecticut wages grew slightly higher than the national average during the third quarter, increasing 4.1 percent from the preceding quarter, according to federal officials.

The state’s personal income growth, seasonally adjusted at an annual rate, ranked 20th in the U.S., according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Wages rose by 4 percent nationally during the third quarter, BEA said Thursday.

Connecticut’s wage growth, however, trailed New England’s 4.2 percent average growth.

For the three months ended Sept. 30, Connecticut workers earned more than $265.8 billion, up from $263.2 billion recorded in the prior quarter, BEA said.
