“Here’s a revolutionary idea: Get away to Connecticut.”
That’s the first line of a $3.4-million series of new tourism ad spots that will appear through August in adjacent metro areas, state officials announced.
The ads, commissioned by the Department of Tourism, feature the Farmington River, Kent Falls, Mohegan Sun, the Connecticut Science Center, Mystic Seaport and other attractions.
Adams & Knight, a marketing agency in Avon, created the ads in partnership with MMGY Global.
Just over half of the advertising mix will be online. More than a third will be on television and the rest will be on billboards.
