Connecticut is launching a culinary tourism trail designed to draw visitors to restaurants and chefs featured on national television programs, the Lamont administration announced.
The Connecticut TV-to-Table Trail will be unveiled Oct. 5 during an event hosted by celebrity chef and Waterbury native Scott Conant. The trail will feature Connecticut businesses that have appeared on programs including “Chopped,” “Guy’s Grocery Games,” “Cupcake Wars” and “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”
The participating chefs and restaurants will be announced during the launch event, according to the state Office of Statewide Marketing and Tourism.
As part of the rollout, the state is holding a contest that will allow one winner to join Conant as a guest judge during a live cooking competition among Connecticut chefs. The winning chef will receive $2,000 to donate to a food-related charity.
The initiative follows other state tourism campaigns centered on themed destinations, including the Connecticut Pizza Trail and Connecticut Christmas Movie Trail.
Connecticut recorded 72.2 million visitors in 2025, up 3.1% from the previous year, according to the Lamont administration. State officials said tourism generated $12.3 billion in direct visitor spending and supported more than 125,000 jobs.
