Since Connecticut manufacturers and government officials travel across the world to promote the state’s aerospace offerings, officials are planning Connecticut’s own summit, they said.
State and federal economic officials, U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney and several companies on Tuesday morning announced an international trade summit to be held at the Mystic Marriott in Groton from Sept. 21 to 23.
The summit will be aimed at linking Connecticut manufacturers with counterparts from around the world for potential partnerships.
Organizers said the event will draw more than 140 small and mid-sized manufacturers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, Canada and other countries. UConn and other schools who work with corporate partners will also be involved, organizers said.
