A pair of off campus, college housing complexes in Bridgeport and Danbury have sold for a combined $17 million to Acorn II LLC.
One complex is the eponymous Eckart Street Apartments in Bridgeport, less than a mile from Sacred Heart University. The building consists of 44 three-bedroom units housing 176 students on 12-month leases.
The other, in Danbury, is the just-completed Chestnut Street Townhomes, with 36 two- and three-bedroom units at 62 Chestnut St. that houses Western Connecticut State University students. The fully furnished units also have annual leases.
Calcagni Associates’ commercial division represented Acorn II.
The sellers, 51 Sound Apartments LLC and 62 Sound Apartments LLC, were represented by Michael Freda of the Freda Financial Group.
