CT solar program solicits public comment

The Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority wants energy industry stakeholders to review its new plan to put solar electric panels on Connecticut houses.

CEFIA will host a public comments session at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 9 in the Phoenix Auditorium of the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection on 79 Elm St. in Hartford.

CEFIA is the successor to the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. The new agency is tasked with making the renewable energy development industry less reliant on government subsidies to become profitable.

To meet this goal, CEFIA launched a new residential solar investment program that changes how home photovoltaic installations are supported by Connecticut.
