CT slots continued their decline in Sept.

Slot machine revenue at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods continued its slide in September, with the latter casino reporting a nearly 20 percent decrease.

Foxwoods’ slots revenue during the month was $36 million, down from $44.8 million a year ago. The amount bettors wagered through its machines was down over 12 percent, to $445.8 million.

Meanwhile, Mohegan Sun’s revenue declined 6.8 percent, from $49.9 million to $46.5 million. Bettors wagered $569.6 million, down nearly $52 million from last September.

The two casinos’ combined state contribution for the month will be $20.9 million, down from $24.9 million a year ago.
