Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun both reported declines in November slot machine revenue Monday.
Foxwoods’ slot revenue experienced the biggest drop, at 13.2 percent. Revenue was $38.1 million, down from $43.9 million a year ago. For the first 11 months of the calendar year, Foxwoods’ slot revenue has fallen $45.6 million, or 9.2 percent.
Gamblers wagered $468 million in the casino’s slots during the month, down 8.2 percent from $510 million last November.
Mohegan’s revenue fell 2.3 percent, from $49.3 million to $48.1 million. The amount wagered, called “the handle,” fell 8.4 percent, to $574.9 million.
So far this year, Mohegan’s slot revenue is down $33.6 million, or 5.9 percent.
For November, the state will receive $21.8 million in slot taxes, down from $23.6 million a year ago.
