Good For You Girls of New Hartford has been honored for innovative sales and marketing of its all-natural skin care products for young females.
Good For You Girls won over the weekend in the under $5 million sales category of the third annual Entrepreneurship Awards at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.
Sherbrooke Capital, a Massachusetts investor in the health and wellness market, hosted the trade show for natural products retailers, wholesalers and distributors.
A Sherbrooke spokeswoman said it is not an investor in Good For You Girls or a second honoree.
The company was the first to offer its organic beauty aids to beginners, Sherbrooke said. Its products are sold through natural-products retailers, including Whole Foods.
As part of its award, Good For You Girls received a free one-year subscription to syndicated consumer sales data for the natural grocery channel from SPINS.
In the over $5 million sales category, Justin’s Nut Butter, of Boulder, Colo., won for its innovative line of jarred butters, including peanut, almond and hazelnut.
