With two weeks left for remaining claims, Connecticut storm Sandy victims have collected more than $40 million in federal aid so far to rebuild, authorities say.

Feb. 12 is the deadline for homeowners in Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties as well as businesses across the state who suffered damage from Sandy to file claims with the Federal Emergency Management Administration, the govenor’s office says.

Register with FEMA by either calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or through www.DisasterAssistance.gov. For those with speech or hearing disabilities, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585.
