CT retirement plans rank high

Connecticut has the highest concentration of 401(k) plans deemed to have superior design, management and performance, according to a Washington, D.C. firm that sells sales and analysis software to financial brokers and advisors.

Using U.S. Department of Labor data, Judy Diamond Associates employs a proprietary algorithm to rank plans. The firm gave top scores to 6.86 percent of plans offered in Connecticut. The national average was 5.2 percent.

Plans with high participation rates and generous employer matches tend to receive the highest scores.
