Tuesday is the last day of Connecticut’s temporary waiver allowing contractors and linemen licensed outside the state to help with storm repairs without registering first, authorities say.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed his executive order Oct. 29 after the storm to speed restoration of electric, telephone and cable service to affected areas of the state.
Revenue Services Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan, along with thanking out-of-state crews for helping Connecticut’s residents and businesses, said Tuesday he has signed the cancellation order and that registrations will resume when the agency opens on Wednesday.
