The Connecticut Restaurant and Hospitality Association has unveiled a new brand identity following its expansion beyond restaurants to represent a broader range of hospitality businesses.
The Wethersfield-based trade group said the new branding will appear on its website, social media accounts, member communications and event materials. Its website is HospitalityCT.org.
CRHA announced in February that it was expanding its membership and advocacy work to include hotels and other lodging properties. The association, founded in 1961, previously operated as the Connecticut Restaurant Association.
New Haven branding agency Box Eight developed the new identity using feedback gathered through surveys and interviews with association members, prospective members, elected officials and other industry stakeholders, CRHA said.
The association said the new identity is organized around three priorities: advocating for the industry, highlighting its businesses and workers and supporting hospitality operators.
CRHA represents an industry that includes nearly 10,000 Connecticut businesses and 170,000 jobs and generates more than $21 billion in annual sales, according to the association.
Scott Dolch, CRHA’s president and CEO, said the rebranding reflects its broader membership and efforts to give the restaurant and hospitality industries a stronger collective voice.
The association said it plans to introduce new member resources, advocacy efforts and programming under the updated brand over the coming months.
