CT promoting I-95 corridor’s virtues

Site selectors from the Midwest and western U.S. will get a first-hand look at Connecticut’s business opportunities along the state’s central I-95 corridor as part of a two-day tour that begins Tuesday in New Haven.

United Illuminating Co. is hosting real estate firms and specialists from 11 states, including Kansas, Texas and California, that serve in corporate relocations and project expansions on the tour that runs through Wednesday.

Connecticut’s Central Coast (www.ctcentralcoast.com) is a region of 17 towns and cities between New York and Boston along I-95. The region has a diverse business climate and offers several opportunities for industry clusters – including biotech, financial services, advanced manufacturing, and data centers.

“This is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate why companies should consider Connecticut for a new business location,” said UI CEO Jim Torgerson.  “UI has always been a leader in promoting the value of doing business in this region and in our service territory.”
