A Stamford-based commercial-scale power company has bought a solar-plus-storage project at a train station in New York.
Altus Power said it acquired the installation at the Croton-Harmon Train Station in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, from Arevon, an Arizona-based developer of renewable energy.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The project will produce about 4.2 megawatts of solar power and have a battery energy storage system capable of holding 15 megawatt-hours of solar power. It will deliver solar power to Columbia University, residential apartment buildings, a local medical center and other facilities, Altus Power said.
Altus Power owns and operates more than 80 renewable projects producing about 266 megawatts of electricity.
