CT pokes FEMA for more Sandy relief

Connecticut got another $467,508 in federal aid to ensure victims of Superstorm Sandy aren’t overlooked and get any help available to recover, authorirties say.

A thankful governor’s office said Tuesday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved his appeal of a disaaster case management grant to continue to help households and businesses with Super Storm Sandy recovery.

The grant provides $467,508 to the state for disaster case managers to assist residents in identifying needs and potential sources of disaster aid and guide them through various public and private sector programs.

To date, the governor’s office claims The White House and FEMA have approved more than $373 million in Sandy recovery aid for Connecticut.
