CT opening office for Sandy recovery fund

Connecticut will open an office Thursday in East Haven to help residents apply for Superstorm Sandy disaster funds, the Associated Press reported.

The state has set aside $30 million to help residents who sustained hurricane damage and who are not covered by insurance or federal programs. The grants range from $10,000 to $150,000, the AP said.
