CT officials testify on Coltsville designation

Congressman John B. Larson and Hartford Mayor of Hartford Pedro E. Segarra were in Washington, D.C., today to testify in favor of national park status for the Coltsville section of Hartford.

Larson told members of the U.S. House of Representatives’ National Resources Subcommittee on Public Lands, that Coltsville played a vital role in the history of Connecticut and the country.

“It is a great source of pride for the state of Connecticut,” Larson said. “We’ve been working on this for almost a decade now.”

The subcommittee is responsible for all matters related to the National Park System and public lands.
