More than a week after Connecticut cities and towns held local elections to select mayors, selectmen and other public positions, state officials have released an official voter turnout of 31.4 percent.
That means 634,875 of the state’s 2 million registered voters went to the polls.
Bridgewater’s three-way first selectman’s race garnered a turnout of 77.4 percent, the highest in the state.
Hartford, where four board of education seats were up for grabs, had the lowest turnout at 5.2 percent.
