The White House has named Jessica Bailey, an official with the state’s Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, as a Solar Champion of Change.
The designation is meant to award Bailey, who joined CEFIA in 2012 as director of its Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy program, or C-PACE, for her work spreading solar energy in Connecticut.
C-PACE provides upfront payments to property owns to cover the cost of installing renewable energy systems. The money is paid back over time through tax assessments.
Bailey received the designation along with eight others from across the country. They were honored during a summit at the White House last week.
