The number of registered medical marijuana patients in Connecticut grew 26 percent over the past month and a half, according to the Department of Consumer Protection.
Between Aug. 28 and Oct. 15, an additional 1,369 patients qualified, bringing the total number statewide to 6.726, DCP said. The agency said it originally expected to have 6,000 patients by year’s end.
Hartford County has 1,403 patients. New Haven County has the most registered patients with 1,764 signed up to legal obtain medical marijuana.Â
