Pursuit Aerospace has announced an agreement to acquire Aeromet International, a U.K.-based supplier of aluminum and magnesium castings to the aerospace and defense industries.
Manchester-based Pursuit will buy the company from its current owner, Privet Capital, for an undisclosed sum.
Formed by the 2023 merger of Whitcraft Group and Paradigm Precision, Pursuit is a diversified manufacturer of tight tolerance components used in commercial and military aircraft engines. It is owned by private equity firms Greenbriar and CD&R.
It now has 18 operation centers in seven U.S. states and four countries.
Pursuit says the deal for Aeromet expands its existing casting capabilities by adding light alloy investment and sand-casting alongside its existing super alloy investment casting process.
“This acquisition reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in casting and forging capabilities that allow us to bring great value to our customers,” said Doug Folsom, CEO of Pursuit.
U.K.-based Aeromet was acquired by private equity firm Privet Capital in 2015. It counts global companies including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and Rolls Royce among its customers.
