CT manufacturers bound for Paris air show

Connecticut aerospace manufacturers are bound for France this month for the biennial International Paris Air Show, according to the Department of Economic and Community Development, which uses the show as a way to promote Connecticut as a place to do business.

DECD said the 11 companies will exhibit at the June 15-21 show, which is often a spawning ground for announcements of customer deals. Greater Hartford attendees include:

· Aero Gear, Windsor

· Aerospace Alloys, Bloomfield

· Reno Machine, Newington

· Whitcraft, East Hartford

It will be the 51st Paris Air show, which is held during odd years — alternating with Farnborough International Airshow in England and the ILA Berlin Air Show in Germany during even years.

In 2013, Paris drew 14 Connecticut companies, while there were 18 in 2011, according to DECD.
