State environmental overseers are accepting nominations for trails and waterways that could receive a “greenway” designation.
Created by the state legislature in 1995, greenways may receive increased eligibility for state grants. There are now 75 greenways in the state.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Greenways Council are accepting nominations through the end of April.
