Wallingford bioscience firm CyVek Inc. pried another $481,390 from Connecticut’s technology promoter, raising the state’s stake to more than $1.7 million in three years.
Connecticut Innovations Inc. in Rocky Hill said Monday its latest stake is part of a $5.5 million series D funding round involving other CyVek investors.
Last May, CyVek got $3 million more from investors — including $445,683 from Connecticut — to refine its specialized tool for analyzing patient blood samples.
In May 2010, CI pumped $802,000 into CyVek as part of $4 million financing round that involved the same unidentified investors.
CI has a seat on CyVek’s board.
