A Stamford-based provider of investment-banking services has been bought by two companies with interests in financial services.
Zenith Securities LLC, a FINRA-member broker-dealer, has been acquired by Arizona-based Hondo Holdings, a private investment entity focused on financial services, and Private Ledger LLC, a subsidiary of New York-based Compliers Consulting Services LLC, a compliance and advisory firm that provides AI capabilities to broker-dealers and investment advisers.
Zenith, which was founded in 2005, announced the deal’s completion on Monday. It will continue to operate under its existing name and regulatory registrations. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Zenith has a disciplined culture and sharp institutional focus,” said Shawn Matthews, Hondo’s CEO and former CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald. “Our priority is long-term stewardship — investing in talent, technology, and client coverage to deliver thoughtful capital-raising and advisory solutions.”
