Connecticut Innovations (CI) has placed sixth on a ranking of angel and seed investments compiled by venture and equity research website PitchBook.
CI, a quasi-public financing and assistance authority based in Rocky Hill, did 11 financing deals in the seed/angel category during the first half of 2013, according to PitchBook.
The overall number of early-stage equity investments fell 41 percent to 181 in the second quarter, PitchBook said, while the amount invested in those deals fell 19.5 percent to $211 million.
CI also tied with two other investors for 11th place in the most active early-stage investor category for the first half of this year, also with 11 deals.
