Connecticut Innovations has hired Matthew Bloom as an investment associate on its venture team.
Bloom will source and evaluate investment opportunities and monitor portfolio companies.
Most recently, he was a senior venture analyst at Excell Partners. He previously helped launch the funds at the Rochester Angel Network and the Simon Business School.
He also previously served on the founding management team of a university spinout in North Carolina called Creative Bioreactor Designs, which made equipment for engineered tissue.
