A Shelton-based manufacturer of magnetic components and transformer products has been sold to an individual buyer in a deal that closed Jan. 8, according to an M&A firm involved in the transaction.
Bridgeport Magnetics Group Inc. designs, manufactures and distributes magnetic components used in marine, industrial, commercial, medical and residential applications. Its products include toroidal and isolation transformers, inductors, cores and specialty magnetics.
The company operates under the Alpha-Core, Tortran and Goertz Audio brands.
The transaction was announced by Dallas-based mergers and acquisitions firm Generational Group, which advised on the deal.
Generational Group didn’t disclose the buyer or financial terms of the deal.
