Connecticut housing starts rose in July from the previous month, pacing the year-to-date start volume ahead of a year ago, new data shows.
There were 381 single- and multi-family permits issued for new housing construction last month in 128 communities the U.S. Census Bureau regularly samples, the state Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) said Thursday.
That’s under the 395 permits granted in those same communities in July 2018, Census data showed.
Through the first seven months of 2019, issued permits total 2,480 vs. 2,117 granted the same period a year ago.
