Housing permits issued across Connecticut were essentially flat in April compared to a year ago, according to an analysis by the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Housing inspectors issued 336 permits for single-family and multi-unit dwellings during the month. That was down from 337 in April 2013 and up from 222 in April 2012.
Year-to-date, 1,289 permits have been issued, up from 1,118 for the first fourth months of 2013.
